AIM holds Managing Family Corporations program in Valencia City, Bukidnon
On 13 to 15 October 2015, twenty executives from different family corporations attended a three-day training program organized by JK Laviña and Sons and delivered by the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) at the Jocels Garden Suite, Velencia City.
This 3-day program entitled, “The “Managing Family Corporations, Valencia City - A Healthy Family in a Healthy Business,” aimed to guide FamCors on how to best manage the challenges affecting the health of family-owned enterprises specifically on the following areas: (a) the identification and analysis of key issues and challenges confronting family corporations, (b) the application management tools and exercises to help participants understand the family in the business; and, (c) the implementation of improvements in the organization to ensure the sustainability and growth of the business.
Faculty experts from AIM, together with a few other resource speakers, flew to Valencia City, Bukidnon for this program. The team who delivered the program was composed of Prof. Jacinto C. Gavino, Jr., DPA, the Program Director of FamCor; Mr. Vergilio G. Espeleta, MBM 1991; and Ms. Cynthia Gavino, MA, MBA.
The AIM is currently working on a four-day FamCor Program to be conducted in Makati City in May 2016. This program is open to all members of family-owned businesses – family members from different generations, and professionals alike.
